Delhi in Erlangen

Just ordered food. Onion rings soaked completely and sauce leaked in 2 of 4 dishes. Okay in taste. The boss looked for a solution on the phone and wanted to waive € 20 on the next order or deliver food afterwards.

Food was good, prices too. Good papadams, very crispy, no excess fat. If the menu says "spicy", then the food is also relatively spicy, in the case of the lamb curry it was unfortunately too spicy for my mother and I was already too full to eat more.

Delicious

All very well. Authentic European food. Daily specials at lunch to go 1 euro more expensive than advertised and the still advertised but nonexistent buffet should be changed. Delivery service times very different. There are plenty of varied vegetarian dishes.

Food was really delicious. From the lunch menu we had the curry with chicken and lame. The one with chicken was a little too spicy for my taste but still tasty. Staff was friendly. In the shop itself it looked a bit messy, but maybe that was because of the renovation.

We were regular customers, mostly home delivery orders. But, sometimes they deliver spoiled food. They have given us spoiled BindiMasala. Another time, burned rotis/nans. Last week also it happened (burned Nan). I tried to reach them over phone. It went to voice mail box. I explained the case. But no response or followup. No value for customer !!!

I ordered something with chicken to take away, got something with cheese. This is useless and a waste of a food. Also harmful.

Ordered twice to take away. Both times something was wrongly packed. The dishes themselves are delicious, but take-away meals are far too expensive for what you get. 6 pieces of cheese for € 10 + are, in my opinion, way too much, even with good taste. Even a small, very sweet bowl of rice pudding won't help. I can't say how the dishes are on site, but the restaurant is very small and a bit squat.

Food is tasty and worth for the price

Ordered the take away lunch menu today. After a first phone call, which at first caused some confusion, it became clear that a surprise dish was cooked every day and that another euro was charged in addition to the € 6.90 because I ordered it to take away. I unpacked at home. The portion was large, along with rice there was also naan bread, but in the end the dish consisted of a spicy cream sauce with a few pieces of cheese. The taste was okay, but it didn't convince me. Especially when you consider that it usually costs around € 10, see the prices of the vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Our favorite Indian restaurant to pick up in Erlangen. The naan is delicious and fresh.

Ordered as take away, food was top class. Portions very good and spice/heat perfect. Really glad to find the spot. Well recommended

12.06.2020 Delhi restaurant, Erlangen @ 9.15 PM We ordered Chilli Chicken Dry @ 9.45 We collected the order and paid at restaurant. @10.50 We are planning to start the dinner. Problem: We ordered chilli chicken dry but instead we recieved rice with chicken gravy. Then we made a call to the restaurant for the inappropriate incorrect dish. We asked them to deliver the chilli chicken dry which we ordered in the beginning but they refused to deliver and asked us to show the proof in order to make a confirmation from his side. We walked 1.5 kms at 11:10 PM to show the proof. Then the restaurant employee asked us with following points: 1. Why you dint inform us before.Why you are eating @ 10:50 PM 2. We will prepare the right dish for you 3. he spoke to the guy who is gonna prepare the right dish 4. That guy denied and the argument started from the restaurant employee 5. He said "you will eat this chicken gravy now" if we order next time we will give the chilli chicken dry as a compromise. We denied the money and compromisation for the next delivery. Finally they gave us the right dish after 30 minutes with lots of arguments.

Ordered there, unfortunately the descriptions of the dishes are not very easy to understand or as accurate as they should be. Unfortunately I have to advise against the Tandoori dishes, the Tandoori Delhi (specialty of the house) arrived in a small bowl with a little softened salad through the delivery, the content that I could identify were chicken breast and thigh, in my opinion, some lamb and something else with bones, no fish as advertised and certainly no specialty for almost € 19, I expect much more than such a small 5cmx15cmx10cm bowl. At the Tandoori Murgh I would not have expected any chicken thighs that were allegedly soaked in spicy yoghurt sauce for 24 hours and then grilled. You could eat lamb korma and mango chicken but didn't rip it out. The Naan was good but you won't get enough of it. For that there is the star. And just under € 35 of the € 70 order for 4 people went into the trash at least. Good luck testing yourself.

We were there for dinner with several people. It is not a nice atmosphere, the waiter asks the guests to use the cutlery that was used for the starter for the main course as well. The starter was dripping with fat, as the main course I had chicken with tendons in an artificially tasting sauce, the rice had to be ordered several times, otherwise you would not have been full. When it came to paying, the inattentive waiter was not thrilled when we wanted to pay separately. He also miscalculated when adding! There will certainly not be another visit.

Another go to place for indian food in Erlange, GOD there are so many good indian resturants here ... love it ... The staff is super cooperative and lovely food ... My recommendation: Biryani, Chole Bhature and if they have it then do try the Sarsoon da saag!!! Simple awesome

I have been here enough times to say that they lack professional ethics probably for their desi customers. The way they behave when you want to pay by credit card is unacceptable. Since I go alone very often, I am forced to take the table right at the door which is not organized. However, the important point is the whole restaurant had no other customer (and all tables free) other than me almost every time while I visited. I have quit going to this place.

Excellent, very polite service, inviting, cozy decor, good food. You should know what you're getting into: normal is sharp, sharp is ... drastic.

Too bad that's 1 star! Food was delivered incorrectly. Meat consistency was watery and almost raw. I tried 3 times and had stomach problems since yesterday morning! Never again! I can not understand the good reviews .. Thanks for that.

Tasty freshly fried samosas.

The owner was so saucy and rude. A friend of mine has invited me to dinner and has happily asked if the vouchers are still valid. We have been there before for lunch more often. This time, the nice-looking person became a monster. I wish him that he will soon broke, with his restaurant.

Awesome indian food. Great taste. Bit pricey, but then, its germany, and you want desi food, then this is the place.

Good Indian food. Will give 4 star for this. However, the service is bad and the staff is very rude. Specially, they neglect you if you do not order drinks or go for mittag menu. I will give 0.5 star for the service, if I may.

Good food! Good service! Good location and lots of space in the beer garten. Staff is very friendly and would make you feel at home. The quality needs to be maintained at all times. Sometimes there is a slack. But only sometimes. :)

Best indian food I've had in Erlangen.

Sontag for lunch, I lost my way into the Lokal.Ansich from the outside and in the guest room, despite a bit overloaded made it a decent impression. The food itself tasted to me at the beginning, and it was also a large portion. Which was probably the reason that some ants on my table to beg came. Well then I went to the toilet direction, careful the trustworthy did not look the whole. Covered with boards cables, no sink, 1 urinal broken, I then again covered the hygiene. K. A.
